Snack Packs FAQs
The Arlo lunch bag and snack pack works from weaning age right through to school-age kids and beyond. It is sized well for toddler portions on a day out, but it is equally useful for older kids on school trips or parents packing their own lunch. There is no age ceiling on a well-designed bag.
The Arlo snack packs have an insulated lining to keep food at a safe temperature for a reasonable amount of time during a day out. For longer days or hotter weather, an ice pack inside will extend that significantly. The larger family picnic cool bag is a more heavy-duty option if you are planning a full day out and need serious temperature control for the whole family.
We recommend wiping the interior clean rather than putting the bags through the
dishwasher. The insulated lining stays in much better condition with a simple wipe-down after each use. For tougher clean-up jobs, a damp cloth with mild soap does the trick without compromising the materials.
The Arlo is compact and designed for individual or toddler portions on a typical day out. The T+M Travel X-Body Family Picnic Cool Bag is significantly larger and intended for the whole family. It has a crossbody strap so it can be worn hands-free, and the capacity is serious enough for a full day at the beach or a family picnic with multiple people to feed. Two very different products for two different situations.
